Charlotte Harper: The Caravan Counsellor
Individual Therapy for Adults
About MeHi, I’m Charlotte! My approach is warm, non-judgemental, and deeply relational.
I place a huge emphasis on building a trusting, real therapeutic relationship, where you feel safe to bring all parts of yourself; the doubts, the humour, the struggles, the hopes.
I never want you to feel like you’re talking to a textbook. Therapy with me is human, responsive, and sometimes challenging. We might laugh, we might cry, and sometimes both in the same minute.
The goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood, and where meaningful change can grow from a place of trust.
About YouDo You Long to Feel Seen, Understood, and Supported?
If you want to feel calmer in your mind, more confident in yourself, and understood without judgement, you’re in the right place.
Therapy can help you create space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and to find ways of living that feel more manageable and aligned with who you are.
You might also be experiencing anxiety, overthinking, low mood, stress, or challenges in relationships.
Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed by your thoughts, or unsure about the next step, or perhaps you just know that something in your life doesn’t feel quite right.
Whatever it is, we can work through it together.
What to expect
-
My approach is person-centred, warm and collaborative. There is no expectation to arrive knowing exactly what you want to say, we simply start where you are.
While many sessions involve traditional talking therapy, I also offer creative approaches such as sand tray work, which can sometimes help express thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words.
Sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating space for reflection, understanding and meaningful change.
-
Sessions are 50 minutes and are currently offered face to face in York and online UK wide.
Fees are £60 per session, with concessions available for students and low income on request.
I also offer Walk and Talk therapy, where sessions take place outdoors in a local setting. Some people find it easier to talk while walking side-by-side rather than sitting face-to-face.
-
My face to face sessions are held in my beautifully furnished caravan, offering a warm and welcoming home from home feel.
